A wider view of humanity
Building a foundation on feeling seen and heard
I am a native of Atlanta GA, and currently live in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. I was fortunate to live overseas as a child, which made an enormous impact on my ability to relate to and resonate with people. Growing up, I was often in the company of kids from other cultures, who spoke other languages and followed other customs. To be immersed in a world where everyone was so remarkably different, finding common ground was only natural! Despite our linguistic differences, we communicated through gestures, body language, and most importantly, a genuine desire to connect.
Those experiences remain with me today, as I meet and interact with people from different cultures, in different languages, with different stories. They are the foundation for my understanding of universal humanity: that all humans desire a life where they feel safe, loved, and hopeful for the future.
